The university library chose Primo from a number of commercial alternatives to provide users with a single point of access to all library resources, regardless of resource type or location. The intuitive Primo interface will provide users with a one-stop solution for the discovery and delivery of all resources.

We spoke with Antonio Scolari, director of the library at the University of Genoa, who stressed that Primo will enable them to present the electronic, physical, and digital collections of the University in a much more user-friendly way. ”With Primo, our electronic resources will be both more visible and more accessible to users, enabling us to improve the level of service that we offer. The comprehensive search interface will simplify discovery and delivery considerably, giving our users one starting point for searching all resources. Lastly, our users will benefit from the most effective discovery experience possible through the unique personalized relevance ranking capability of Primo.”

The sophisticated search and ranking technology of Primo, its intuitive browsing options, and its support for serendipitous discovery enable users to easily find and seamlessly access the resources they need. Content neutral and flexible, Primo empowers libraries to tailor the discovery experience to the needs and expectations of their own user community.
