The ALA Annual Conference is nearly upon us once again. A chance to catch up with colleagues, learn what’s new and now in the field of librarianship, and of course come back home with a mountain of books fresh off the presses.

Let’s start off by congratulating Colby Lewis, the winner of the 2018 LITA/Ex Libris Student Writing Award, for her paper entitled “The Open Access Citation Advantage: Does It Exist and What Does It Mean for Libraries?” and Susan Davis, the recipient of the 2018 ALCTS Ulrich’s Serials Librarianship Award!

What will you learn from Ex Libris at ALA? This year’s discussions focus on how you can make your mark at your institution, with topics ranging from strategies for success for small libraries and large consortia, new paradigms in research management, and ways to better outreach to faculty, staff and students. You can see the full descriptions of all Ex Libris sessions and add to your conference schedule.
