Hear what Michael Loran, Systems Librarian, has to say about choosing and implementing Alma.

Those of you who attended ‘Embrace the Future of the Library’ in London will know Michael Loran.
Having signed the contract with Ex Libris at the beginning of 2014, the Museum will go live this summer and Michael gave us a great deal of insight into the Natural History Museum’s reasons for selecting Alma and Primo as well as the experiences they have had and lessons they have learned so far during the implementation process.

We are now delighted to be able to give those of you who couldn’t make it to London the opportunity to watch Michael’s presentation.

Michael explains how the museum will be using Alma and Primo to modernise and automate processes, provide a single search for all services, and improve user service by strengthening the online presence of the library and making digital assets more visible for users. The highly specialised nature of the resources held by the Museum and the solutions found for the challenges this posed make for very interesting viewing.

Watch out for more videos from ‘Embrace the Future of the Library’ in the coming weeks for more customers’ stories of their experience with Alma.
