Oren Beit-Arie, one of the primary developers of the OpenURL standard, joined Ex Libris Group in 1988 and has been deeply involved in the design of the ALEPH® 500 integrated library system, the development of the MetaLib® metasearch system and the SFX® link resolver, and the overall research activities of the company.
Mr. Beit-Arie earned a BS in mathematics and computer science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an MA in theoretical linguistics from Tel Aviv University.
