President, Ex Libris North America  
 
Carl Grant re-joined Ex Libris in July 2008 to serve as president of Ex Libris North America. During his previous tenure (December 1998-March 2003), tremendous growth was recorded in this region.

Mr. Grant has held senior executive positions in a number of library-automation companies. Mr. Grant has demonstrated his commitment to libraries, librarianship, and industry standards through his active participation in the American Library Association (ALA); in the ALA Association of College and Research Libraries, ALA Library Technology and Information Association, and ALA Exhibits Round Table; and on the board of the National Information Standards Organization (NISO), where he has served as board member, treasurer, and chair. Under Mr. Grant’s leadership, NISO underwent a transformation that resulted in a revitalized library standards organization. In recognition of his contribution to the library industry, Library Journal has named Mr. Grant an industry notable.

Mr. Grant holds a master's degree in information and library science from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
